This is a tribute to my dear friend Anne, who I first met in 1973. She was the secretary and I was a district nurse to a local GP and it happened that she needed to have a series of iron injections so we bonded we bonded when I gave her injections three times a week into her bum!!
We stayed friends all through the years through what ever life has thrown at us.house moves, job changes and all the other things that happen in the course of a long friendship. We spent time together enjoying each other's company going to the theatre as well as other outings and on Sunday mornings I would go round to her house in Parish Lane for coffee and a chat and on Wednesday evenings she would come round to my house in Edward Road where would we would also have coffee and a chat!
When I moved away we didn't see so much of each other but we kept in touch by telephone and with birthday cards and Christmas cards and kept jennettyup-to-date. This week it was my birthday and I found a card Anne had sent me a couple of years ago and I put that up along with my other cards and will continue to put up a card every birthday and every Christmas that she sent me so that I will never forget her.She will always be in my heart.
